Josh Nelson is starting his first job out of college and finds himself attracted to his coworker, Gavin, a guy with a huge Instagram following who everyone else in the office is hitting on. Not only does Josh think office romances are a bad idea, Gavin can date anyone he wants. Why would he choose him?

Gavin Thomas is haunted by his parents’ death in a car crash in his senior year of college. Now three years later, he passes his time with gay bar hookups and hanging out with his best friend, Adam, simply because he can’t find a guy who really does it for him. All that changes the first time he sees Josh at work. Is love at first sight really a thing? Gavin thinks it might be.

Gavin turns on the charm to get Josh to notice him, but Josh is a tough nut to crack. When they’re sent to Austin for work together and Josh’s hotel reservations fall through, Gavin persuades Josh to room with him. During the week together, Gavin starts to break down Josh’s walls and Josh finds Gavin alluring in a way he’d never imagined. When they return home and Gavin’s worst nightmare comes true, will Josh be the one to pick up the pieces?

Catching His Eye is a coworkers to lovers, close proximity romance with an HEA and no cliffhangers. It features a no-nonsense science nerd and a charismatic, passionate man with a creative sense of style. This is book three in the Mesa Boys series. Each book features a different couple.

Reviews:

This book starts off hot, with Gavin in bed with his bar hookup right on page 1. At work the next morning the new hires are going thru orientation and Gavin spots Josh in the group and sparks fly. By the time you hit the 25% mark, Gavin & Josh are sharing a room at the Marriott on a business trip. So fasten your seat belts!

The main theme here seems to be understanding the difference between romantic love and friend/family love. Throw in some office romance rules, some social media rules, some lost family members angst, and you’ve got yourself a great read here! To spice things up, Christie starts every chapter with a pair of lace panties. You have to keep reading to discover what that’s all about – Five Stars.

I was excited to read this book after reading the excerpt from the last book. Andrea is seriously my favorite side character. Her meddlesome ways seems to bring love everywhere! I loved how easily they fell in love and pretty much were open with each other about how they felt. Adam, ugh Adam, one of my least favorite side characters. I saw right through him from the beginning. I yelled at my book more than once. Overall, great addition to the series!
